The course
Built around the things nobody tells you
Most lash technicians can attach an extension. Far fewer can map a set to a client's eye shape, choose a curl that flatters rather than fights the natural lash line, isolate cleanly under pressure, and get three-week retention every single time. That gap is what this master class exists to close.
Over three days you will work through the theory, then spend the bulk of your time with tweezers in hand — on your mannequin first, and progressing as your isolation and placement come together. Quinnie works beside you the whole way, correcting technique in the moment rather than at the end.

Complete beginners
No experience needed. You'll start from how the natural lash cycle works and finish able to apply a full classic set, with a clear path for building from there.

Day One
Theory & foundations
The natural lash growth cycle and what it means for retention. Anatomy of the eye and lash line. Adhesive chemistry — humidity, temperature, cure time and why your glue behaves differently on different days. Health, hygiene and safe practice. Client consultation, patch testing and contraindications. Product knowledge: curls, diameters, lengths and how to choose between them.

Day Two
Mapping recipes & application
The heart of the course. Styling and mapping recipes for doll eye, cat eye, open eye, natural, wispy and Kim K styles — written out so you can reproduce them, and explained so you can adapt them to eyes that don't fit the template. Then hands-on: taping and pre-treatment, isolation, pickup, placement, and working cleanly at pace on your mannequin.

Day Three
Refinement, business & photography
Building toward a full set with Quinnie correcting as you go. Refills, removals and fixing another technician's work. Aftercare you can teach your clients. Then the part that fills your books: how to photograph your work — lighting, angles, macro shots, the before-and-after setup, and the editing apps and tools used to turn a good set into advertising material people actually book from. We finish with pricing, kit-buying and where to source product.

Already trained and working, but want a day focused entirely on you? Mentoring days are built around whatever is holding you back — volume fanning, speed, retention, mapping, a style you've never been confident with, or your photography and social content.

Over 10 years lashing full time. All relevant industry certifications. A reputation built on retention and symmetry.
Quinnie has spent over 10 years behind the bed, which means she has seen every lash type, every difficult eye shape and every adhesive problem that Queensland humidity can throw at a set. She teaches the way she works — methodically, with a reason behind every choice.
What students consistently say they value most is the honesty: she will tell you exactly why your fans are closing, why your placement drifts, and what to change, rather than letting you leave with a certificate and bad habits. That is the difference between a class and a master class.
Questions
Before you book
Do I need any experience?
No. The master class is designed to take a complete beginner from zero to applying a full classic set. If you are already lashing, we'll skip ahead and spend the time on what you actually need.
Do you train in cosmetic tattooing or brows?
Not at this stage. Quinnie offers cosmetic tattooing for brows, lips and eyeliner as a salon service, but the academy trains in lash extensions only — the master class and the mentoring days are both lash-focused. If you would like to be told when other training becomes available, send us a message and we'll keep you on the list.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — every student who completes the three days receives a certificate of completion from Queen's Beauty Academy.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and something to write with. Your mannequin, tweezers, adhesive, lash trays, brushes and cleansing products are all supplied in your starter kit and are yours to keep. If you already own a kit, bring it — we can work on your own tools so what you learn transfers straight to your setup.
Will I practise on a real person?
You will begin on your mannequin and progress to live work as your isolation and placement come together. We also run a student model register of people who volunteer to be lashed by students at a heavily discounted rate, which is how most students build their first portfolio.
How big are the classes?
Deliberately small. The whole point of a master class is that Quinnie can stand beside you and correct your technique as it happens, which is impossible in a room of twenty.
